Brookfield Properties commissioned Alter-Projects to develop a cultural strategy for a bespoke Art Trail to reinvigorate the Potsdamer Platz area. Celebrating its rich and edgy history, the project was inspired by the extravagant nightlife and entertainment houses of the 1920s. Together they commissioned 8 local and international artists for a variety of installations, ranging from ‘breathing’ chandeliers to acoustic public seating, from colourful hoardings to indoor sculptures.
