Bijlmer Parktheater
'Celebration!' (Feest!) is a series of 4 custom designed colouring pages for the Bijlmer Parktheater's 15 year jubilee.
Bijlmer Parktheater, located in Amsterdam South-East, is well known for their unique and culturally diverse theatrical programming for both adults and children. As they celebrated their 15 year anniversary, they asked Studio_Raya to design four custom made illustrations, to be used as colouring pages in A4 and extra-extra-large.
Looking at the diverse shows, there were four themes distilled around the concept of 'celebration': in the Sky, in the Forest, under Water and in the Palace. Where could the theatre be celebrating their successes, and with whom? These narratives were coloured in by the kids ahead of a performance that related to these themes, with hidden symbolic gestures and characters taken from the shows.
